The Global Campaign to End Immigration Detention of Children was launched during the 19th Session of the UN Human Rights Council in March 2012, to draw attention to the many detrimental effects that immigration detention has on children, and to encourage states to cease the immigration detention of children with respect to their CRC obligations.

It is supported by the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) and was initiated by the International Detention Coalition, a civil-society network with hundreds of members around the world.

This campaign has now been endorsed by over 100 organisations in more than 40 countries, and continues to grow. Terre des Hommes is one of the core supporters of the campaign and participate actively to the Inter-Agency Working Group to End Child Immigration Detention.

The Campaign has run focus months in five countries: Mexico, Greece, Malaysia, Israel, South Africa and Australia.

Ending Child Immigration Detention is one of the DESTINATION UNKNOWN 10 DEMANDS

Sign the Petition and help to protect children on the move.
